Through our humanitarian assistance initiatives, we extend support to individuals and families facing emergencies, financial hardship, medical needs, bereavement, and other challenging circumstances.
Our objective is to provide timely assistance, connect those in need with appropriate support services, and work together with community partners to ensure that no one faces a difficult situation alone.

Medical & Emergency Assistance
We support community members facing urgent medical and emergency situations by helping coordinate assistance and connecting them with available healthcare and community resources.
Support During Bereavement
During times of loss, OTP provides compassionate support to affected families and assists, where possible, with coordination related to repatriation and other necessary arrangements in cooperation with relevant authorities and community organizations.
Emergency & Financial Support
Where resources permit, we help individuals and families experiencing genuine emergencies or financial difficulties by facilitating community assistance and connecting them with appropriate support networks.
Food & Essential Supplies
During emergencies and challenging circumstances, OTP organizes and distributes essential food items and basic necessities to individuals and families who require immediate support.
Community Emergency Response
We work with community organizations, volunteers, and relevant authorities to coordinate assistance during unexpected emergencies and situations affecting the community.
Family & Community Support
We provide guidance and community-level support to individuals and families who may need assistance navigating difficult circumstances.

Repatriation of Mortal Remains
Supporting Families During Their Most Difficult Time
The loss of a loved one away from home is an extremely difficult experience for any family. Orunginaindha Thamizhar Peravai (OTP Qatar) is committed to supporting community members and their families during such difficult circumstances.
OTP assists families in coordinating the repatriation of mortal remains to India, working in coordination with the relevant authorities, the Embassy of India, community organizations, hospitals, and other concerned agencies, as applicable.
Our Support Includes
Coordination & Guidance
We provide families with guidance on the necessary procedures and help coordinate with the relevant authorities and organizations.
Documentation Support
We assist families in understanding and coordinating the required documentation and formalities related to the repatriation process.
Coordination with Hospitals & Authorities
Where required, we coordinate with hospitals, government authorities, the Embassy of India, and other concerned organizations to facilitate the necessary procedures.
Repatriation Arrangements
We support the coordination of arrangements for transporting the mortal remains to the deceased person’s hometown or designated destination in India, subject to applicable procedures and approvals.
Family Support
Our volunteers remain available to guide and support the family throughout the process and help them connect with appropriate community resources.

Since its establishment, OTP Qatar has supported families from the Tamil community during times of bereavement and emergency. We work alongside community partners and relevant authorities with compassion, dignity, and respect for the deceased and their family.

Repatriation arrangements are subject to applicable Qatar and Indian government regulations, documentation requirements, approvals, airline procedures, and coordination with the relevant authorities.
