Division B Final A Celebration of Excellence The Division B final of the OTP Super League Season 02 unfolded with extraordinary passion and skill, showcasing the essence of cricket and community spirit. The match, held at Barwa City, was a grand spectacle that brought together players, organizers, and an enthusiastic audience. Special Guests We were privileged to host prominent community leaders who added grace and significance to the event: Mr. Shanavas Bava – President, ICBF Mr. Deepak Chetty – Vice President, ICBF Mr. Mohamed Kunhi - Secretary, ICBF Mr. Abdul Raoof – Insurance Committee Head, ICBF Mr. Varadharajan – Magilarangam President Ms. Indira Varadharajan Indra – Magilarangam Mr. Kurumbur Thagir - President VVTNS Organizing Committee The success of the event was driven by the commitment and hard work of the OTP Organizing Committee: Mr. Ibrahim – President, OTP Mr. Valiullah – General Secretary, OTP Mr. Sathyaraj – Community Welfare, OTP Mr. Anto Dixon – Sports Secretary, OTP All OTP Strikers CC Players and OTP Volunteers Match Summary: Division B Final – The final match was a riveting contest between Instyle Mangalore and Tripple King, filled with moments of brilliance and determination. Instyle Mangalore Innings: With an explosive start, opener Anees Ani scored a quickfire 50 runs off 17 balls, smashing 4 sixes and 6 fours. The star of the innings, Mohammed Rabeez, delivered a spectacular performance, scoring a mammoth 154 runs off just 41 balls, including 21 sixes and 3 fours. Instyle Mangalore set a daunting target with 274 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 15 overs. Tripple King Innings: Despite their confidence, Tripple King faced setbacks early on, losing crucial wickets in the opening overs. The team demonstrated resilience and fought valiantly till the last over, scoring 192 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 14.3 overs. Award Distribution The ceremony celebrated the exceptional performances of players and the teams, with trophies and prizes presented by our distinguished guests: Champions: Instyle Mangalore received the championship trophy and cash prize from President ICBF and Vice President ICBF. Runners-Up: Tripple King were honored with the runners-up trophy and cash prize. Man of the Match: The award was presented to Mohammed Rabeez for his phenomenal innings of 154 runs, by Insurance Committee Head ICBF and Magilarangam President. Upcoming Event: The much-anticipated Division A Grand Finale is scheduled for 27.12.2024, promising another thrilling encounter.
