Orunginaintha Thamizhar Peravai Women’s Wing Organizes Free Medical Camp for Women in Doha In a major stride towards fostering a healthier society, the Orunginaintha Thamizhar Peravai (OTP) Women’s Wing, in collaboration with KIMS Health Medical Center, successfully organized a free medical camp exclusively for women in Doha, Qatar. This initiative, part of OTP’s ongoing social and humanitarian efforts, was open to both members and non-members of the community, reinforcing the organization's commitment to promoting women's health and wellbeing. Organized in conjunction with Mother’s Day celebrations, the camp aimed to highlight the significance of quality healthcare and holistic wellness for women. The event commenced at 8:00 AM on 25 April 2025 at KIMS Health Center, Al Wakhra, and was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri. Eish Singhal, ICBF Coordinating Officer and First Secretary at the Embassy of India, Qatar. Mrs. Vidya Selvi, Chairperson of the OTP Women’s Wing, delivered the welcome address and warmly greeted the attendees, along with distinguished guests from Apex Bodies including ICBF, ICC, ISC committee members, and other prominent community leaders. Participants benefitted from a series of insightful awareness sessions led by Dr. Suprakasan (Consultant – Dermatology and Cosmetology), Dr. Vaisakh (Specialist – Orthopedic Surgery), and Dr. Ambika (Specialist – Obstetrics and Gynecology). To further enhance the impact of the camp, KIMS Health Center provided a range of advanced diagnostic services, including liver and kidney function tests, vital sign monitoring, uric acid and blood glucose testing, BMI assessments, vision tests, and general practitioner consultations. Additionally, an 80% discount on face analysis reports was offered to all participants. As a token of appreciation, the OTP Women’s Wing presented plants to the community leaders. Doctors and officials from KIMS Health Medical Center were felicitated with mementos presented by OTP committee members. A special note of thanks was extended to KIMS Health Medical Center for their unwavering support, professional excellence, and generous contributions, which played a crucial role in the success of the camp. Their dedication to community service and collaboration with OTP Women’s Wing was instrumental in providing comprehensive healthcare services to the attendees. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Janakaravi, General Secretary of OTP. The overall success of the initiative was made possible through the tireless efforts and strong support of Mr. Valiulla, President of OTP, along with the OTP Executive Committee members, whose encouragement and coordination greatly empowered the Women's Wing.
